Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a highly capable Controls Engineer for the Glendale, AZ facility on the night shift. You will act as the on-shift controls expert, diagnosing PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues while supporting automation projects to boost safety and throughput.

You will mentor maintenance staff, drive continuous improvement, and ensure documentation and change records are maintained.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering technology or related field.
• 4+ years in industrial automation/controls in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues.
• Identify recurring problems and implement permanent fixes.
• Lead controls projects to improve safety, quality and throughput.
• Support equipment commissioning and system integration.
• Provide mentorship to maintenance staff.
