Job summary

The Area Leader at Meijer will oversee area operations and lead Leads and Team Leaders to achieve sales and productivity goals while upholding the Meijer culture. You will drive engagement, coaching, and performance management across team members in the span of care.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 4+ years in retail leadership are preferred; strong communication and analytical skills are essential. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role across our Kentucky stores.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in retail/grocery or customer service.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for decisions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with team members to onboard, train and develop; provide coaching and feedback.
• Identify talent and discuss career paths to support staffing and leadership pipelines.
• Oversee area operations and financial results, including budget and P&L, to maximize sales and productivity.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and process improvements; supervise Leads and Team Leaders.
