Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Area Leader to oversee an established span of care, driving engagement, training, coaching, and performance. You’ll work with Leads and Team Leaders to ensure safe, efficient operations and strong customer service while managing budget and forecasting staffing.

You’ll identify talent, lead candid discussions, uphold Meijer standards, and drive process improvements. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 4+ years in retail or customer service and progressive leadership

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
Progressive leadership experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage area P&L and budgets.

Responsibilities

Engages with team members to onboard, train and develop them for success.
Identifies talent and plans staffing to maintain diverse leadership pipelines.
Conducts candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth.
Oversees area operations and financial results, managing budget items in the P&L.
Drives safety and compliance and ensures store-wide process adherence.
Leads Leads and Team Leaders, assigning daily tasks and training needs.
