Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Area Leader in Kentucky to oversee engagement, training, and development of team members within the span of care. You will drive recognition, performance management, and coaching while being accountable for area operations and financial results, including safety and scheduling.

You will lead Leads and Team Leaders, implement process improvements, and promote Meijer culture across stores and departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and inclusive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to ensure onboarding, training and development, and coaching for success.
• Identifies talent and supports staffing and leadership pipeline strategies.
• Conducts candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth opportunities.
• Oversees area operations and financial results, managing budget line items in the P&L to maximize sales and productivity.
• Drives safety, compliance, and store condition management; follows all procedures.
• Guides Leads and Team Leaders in daily tasks and training needs.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
