Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking a Sales Manager at our Gainesville location to lead a high-performing selling culture, drive sales, and deliver a premier customer experience. You will oversee front-end and service operations, coach teams, manage day-to-day execution, and ensure compliance with SOPs and brand standards.

The role requires 3+ years of retail leadership, the ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings, and the capacity to lift 25–50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion a high-performing selling culture across the store.
• Drive strong sales results and customer experience through coaching and SOP adherence.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership during shifts.
• Oversee front-end operations and ensure POS and Self-Checkout efficiency.
• Promote loyalty programs and drive customer retention.
• Support specialty departments and programs (e.g., Knits & Sew, framing, etc.).
• Train, coach, and develop team members across departments.
• Maintain asset protection and shrink control.
