Michaels in Gainesville, GA is seeking a Sales Manager to champion a high‑performing selling culture, drive strong sales results, and oversee front‑end and service operations with a focus on customer experience and brand standards.

You will coach and develop team members, provide Manager‑on‑Duty coverage, ensure accurate POS and Self‑Checkout usage, and lead omni‑channel initiatives including BOPIS and Same‑Day Delivery while maintaining operational excellence and store standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, coaching team for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintain floor leadership and operational continuity.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout usage to support smooth transactions.
• Lead the Knit & Sew Shop, Balloons, and in-store programs and events.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention and visits.
• Champion MCC/Extend services, including protection plans and offerings.
• Drive sales and operational excellence with omni-channel initiatives (BOPIS, Same Day Delivery).
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner to maintain Asset Protection and reduce shrink.
