Job summary

(CHR) Community Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist for the REST Center in Willimantic, CT. This full-time role runs 12am–8am, Mon–Fri, at the REST Center and involves crisis stabilization, peer support, and collaborative care planning.

You will help individuals identify recovery goals, teach coping skills, and connect them with community resources. Lived recovery experience and CPSRP or CCAR certification (or to be obtained within 6 months) are required.

Qualifications

• Lived experience establishing and maintaining recovery from mental health or substance use condition(s).
• 2+ years working with identified populations; CPSRP preferred; self-identifies in recovery.
• Certified Peer Support & Recovery Specialist (CPSRP) or Recovery Coach Certification; must be obtained within 6 months; valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients in identifying and advocating their recovery goals.
• Conducts assessments and screens as indicated.
• Collaborates to create individualized treatment plans.
• Conducts skills teaching and crisis intervention as needed.
• Provides case management and links to community resources.
