Community Health Resources (CHR) is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist for the REST Center in Willimantic, CT. This full-time role provides a 24/7 crisis stabilization service, helping clients set recovery goals and access services while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

You will conduct assessments, develop person-centered plans, offer crisis intervention, and link clients to supports, housing, and community resources.

Qualifications

• Lived experience establishing and maintaining recovery from mental health or substance use condition(s) as required by position.
• 2+ years working with identified populations; CPSRP preferred; self-identifies as in long-term recovery.
• Certified Peer Support & Recovery Specialist (CPSRP) or Recovery Coach Certification or equivalent; must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsabilités

• Assists clients in identifying and advocating their recovery goals.
• Utilizes appropriate program models and motivational interventions to establish recovery strategies.
• Conducts program-specific assessments and screens.
• Collaborates with clients to create individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Provides crisis intervention or de-escalation as needed.
• Maintains documentation in compliance with agency standards.
