Extended Stay America is seeking a Night Service Representative (Part Time) to respond to overnight guest needs after hours while the lobby is closed. The role includes lodging in a guest room as part of employment and being on the overnight on-call schedule.

The position emphasizes courteous service, safe handling of hotel operations, and timely response to issues such as check-ins, key activation, and safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Document events in writing and prepare routine correspondence.
• Operate the hotel mobile phone.
• Speak effectively before groups of customers; proficiency in reading and speaking English.
• Computer skills including the ability to input information into a computer system including Microsoft Office Suite and the Hotel PMS system.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Friendly, cooperative manner and patience with guests and staff.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and handle issues under pressure.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Perform basic arithmetic and calculations for rates, percentages and ratios.

Responsibilities

• Attend to guests on call from outside service agent for check-ins, emergencies, noise complaints, and safety issues.
• Maintain control of all hotel keys and safeguard against loss or theft.
• Log keys in and out as needed.
• Organize, confirm, process and conduct limited guest check-ins/check-outs with greeting, registering, room assignment, and payments.
• Keep up-to-date with hotel policies, training, and safety procedures.
• Report safety, guest and security concerns per policy.
• Provide guests with directions and information about amenities, services and local areas of interest.
• Perform bookkeeping tasks such as logging events and posting payments to folios.
• Maintain proficiency in location computer and software systems.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with first responders when necessary.
• May cover another local hotel if staffing requires it.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
