Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh is seeking a friendly Front Desk professional to greet guests, handle check-ins/outs, and deliver outstanding service. This role values quick thinking, accuracy, and a calm demeanor under pressure, with overnights, weekends and holidays possible.

You’ll work with hotel systems, know the local area, and collaborate across departments to ensure guest satisfaction. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Front Desk or customer-facing role is helpful.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Familiar with hotel systems and operations, and the ability to enter information accurately is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Review arrivals noting special requests, blocking rooms as needed.
• Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner.
• Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, ensuring complete and accurate information.
• Complete all items on appropriate (AM, PM, Overnight) checklist by end of shift.
• Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, including VIPs, repeat guests, all packages, and any special requests.
• Follow established key control policy.
• Ensure proper credit policies are followed.
• Submit all lost & found articles with a completed report; be familiar with fire and emergency procedures.
• Open, secure, and balance daily shift bank including cash, checks, and card transactions.
• Monitor room availability and review selling status using yield management.
• Attend department meeting once a month.
• Communicate via telephone and/or radio with other departments.
