Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior experience in warehousing or freight handling preferred.
• Experience with hostler/yard mule is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers for loading to trailers.
• Perform freight handling using motorized and manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Verify documentation matches freight descriptions (type, weight, hazardous materials).
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, rope and other supplies.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary and complete required reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required and comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
