Job summary

Paycom is seeking a dispatcher/logistics coordinator to direct owner-operators and third-party carriers in freight delivery operations. You will monitor load readiness, coordinate delivery times, communicate with drivers and receiving locations, and ensure compliance with driver hours of service.

The role requires strong organization, multitasking, and problem-solving to handle weather delays, detours, and equipment issues. The position is full-time, on-site, with occasional warehouse exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2–3 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience within distribution/transportation.
• Ability to learn the service area and delivery locations to coordinate drivers deliveries.
• Knowledge of distribution and transportation industry.
• Experience using computerized routing software.
• Excellent organization skills, with the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate owner operators and third-party carriers for freight delivery services.
• Monitor load readiness for dispatch from the distribution center and coordinate delivery times with receiving locations.
• Maintain compliance with driver hours of service and regulatory requirements.
• Advise receiving locations of drivers ETA and re-route as needed to meet schedules.
• Prepare routing and delivery instructions for third-party drivers and coordinate with backhaul vendors during disruptions.
