Qualifications

• Computer proficiency and familiarity with logistics software.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate owner operators and third-party carriers to ensure on-time freight delivery.
• Monitor load readiness and coordinate dispatch with distribution centers and receiving locations.
• Communicate with customers, drivers, and facilities to ensure efficient delivery and regulatory compliance for driver hours of service.
• Respond to interruptions (weather, road blocks, breakdowns) and advise ETA to receiving locations.
• Assist Load Planner and assign loads to drivers within no-forced dispatch constraints; re-route to optimize schedules.
• Prepare routing and delivery instructions for third-party drivers and orient them on tendered loads.
• Coordinate back hauls with the Back Haul Coordinator and integrate into load plans.
• Maintain real-time load progress, generate reports, and monitor vehicle/trailer status and refrigeration units.
• Use online tools to map routes, calculate mileage, and track locations; maintain professional customer relations.
