Job summary

Paycom is hiring to coordinate backhaul operations, directing owner-operators and carriers to meet delivery windows. You will monitor load readiness, dispatch times, and ETA communications with receiving locations and drivers.

The role requires experience with routing software, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple loads while maintaining regulatory compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; 2–3 years in distribution/transport.
• Ability to learn service area and delivery locations.
• Experience using computerized routing software.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities of owner-operators and third-party carriers.
• Monitor load readiness for dispatch and coordinate delivery times with locations.
• Advise receiving locations of driver ETAs and reroute to meet schedules.
• Prepare routing and delivery instructions for third-party drivers.
• Maintain reports and monitor truck/trailer location and status.
