Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Freight Dispatcher to coordinate owner-operators and third-party carriers across Ohio and neighboring regions. You will monitor load readiness, dispatch windows, and driver ETAs to ensure on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities include real-time data entry, routing instruction preparation, and handling interruptions due to weather or equipment issues while maintaining regulatory compliance and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2–3 years of experience in distribution/transportation.
• Experience using computerized routing software.
• Excellent organization and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Customer-oriented and ethical work approach.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate owner-operators and third-party carriers for timely freight delivery.
• Monitor load readiness and dispatch windows; advise ETAs to receivers.
• Enter load progress in real-time using company software.
• Prepare routing and delivery instructions for third-party drivers.
• Respond to interruptions due to weather, breakdowns, or detours.
