Bronson Healthcare seeks a Patient Representative for the BMH ED night shift in Kalamazoo. You will greet and register patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and provide price estimates to patients.

This role supports the revenue cycle with strong customer service and HIPAA compliance. Required: high school diploma or GED, prior customer service, basic computer skills, and familiarity with billing concepts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding strongly preferred.
• Basic typing at 45 WPM, basic ten key, and computer skills in Windows.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
• Experience with patient registration, insurance verification and payments.

Responsabilités

• Greets and registers patients accurately and efficiently.
• Verifies insurance eligibility using online systems.
• Collects and enters payments, follows balancing procedures.
• Analyzes and enters physician orders; schedules appointments.
• Maintains confidentiality in verbal, written and electronic communication.
