Ideal candidates have prior customer service experience, familiarity with HIPAA, and basic IT skills. A GED or high school diploma is required, with an Associate degree preferred or 2 years of healthcare experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Emergency Department standby rotation may occur (weekends).
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding preferred.
• Basic typing at 45 WPM and Windows skills.
• HIPAA knowledge and confidentiality requirements.
• Knowledge of revenue cycle components and impact on registration.
• Able to multitask and manage time with deadlines.
• Flexible to adapt to changing workflows.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, lift light objects.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and register patients.
• Enter demographics and insurance/billing information.
• Verify insurance eligibility.
• Provide price estimates and collect payments.
• Schedule appointments for multiple facilities.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow workflows.
• Assist patients, staff, and visitors as needed.
• Support revenue cycle and data accuracy.
