Job summary

Bronson Healthcare is seeking a Patient Representative for the Battle Creek Emergency Department. You will greet and register patients, verify insurance, collect payments and help patients understand financial obligations.

The role requires strong customer service, accurate data entry, and HIPAA compliance, with flexibility for weekend standby rotations and a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Experience in healthcare revenue cycle and knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Cancer Center role may require Associate's degree or 2 years related experience.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Preferred
• Experience in healthcare revenue cycle preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, gather insurance and demographic data.
• Verify insurance eligibility using online systems.
• Explain billing and payment options and collect payments.
• Schedule appointments across multiple facilities.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Support patient access and revenue cycle through accurate data entry.
