Bronson Methodist Hospital South Campus in Kalamazoo is seeking a Patient Representative for the second shift to support patient access and revenue cycle processes. The role includes greeting and registering patients, collecting demographic, insurance, and billing information, and verifying eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding strongly preferred.
• Basic typing at 45 WPM, basic ten key, and computer skills within a Windows environment.
• Experience with multiple computer applications/operating systems, and office machines.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements, insurance payer regulations and requirements, and patient rights.
• Knowledge of revenue cycle components and his/her role in the ability to impact the overall process.
• Knowledge of the impact of accurate registration has on patient satisfaction.
• Analytical skills to solve simple to semi complex problems.
• Organization, prioritization and time management skills.
• Concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Be flexible to facilitate change.
• Associate's degree in related field for Cancer Center (preferred) or 2 years related experience.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Preferred

Responsabilités

• Register patients accurately and efficiently.
• Verify insurance eligibility using online systems.
• Provide and complete required patient forms.
• Collect and enter payments, balance per procedures.
• Analyze, interpret and enter physician orders.
• Schedule and communicate appointment information for multiple facilities.
• Maintain confidentiality in all communications.
• Assist with security and safety in designated areas.
• Support patient access and revenue cycle processes as needed.
