Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Shuttle Driver for night shifts, transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and returning full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. You will operate tandem/tractor trailers on intrastate and interstate routes, following DOT regulations and safety guidelines.

The role requires communicating with customers and coworkers, completing required paperwork, and ensuring secure loads.

Qualifications

• 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Reports safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to route schedule and DOT safety guidelines.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures and secures freight in trailers.
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs per regulations.
• Performs housekeeping duties in the tractor and loading dock area.
