Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Shuttle Driver to efficiently move empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. This role requires operating a tandem trailer, tractor trailer, or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes in compliance with DOT regulations.

You will interact professionally with customers, vendors, and teammates while supporting safe, timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year or more commercial driving experience required.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and repairs needed.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Maintain required route paperwork for dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers on predetermined routes.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures safely and efficiently.
• Park and store tractors/trailers and secure equipment.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs according to regulations.
• Keep work areas clean and trailers organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
