Job summary

Cheney Brothers, Inc. is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. The role operates at night with a 3:00 PM dispatch, and requires a valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement and DOT health card.

You will perform safety checks, drive according to schedule, and ensure proper securing of freight while maintaining accurate logs and complying with DOT regulations. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Requires CDL A with Doubles Endorsement and a valid DOT Health Card.
• 1 year or more of commercial driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and able to pass pre-employment drug test and road test.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer and shuttle equipment on intrastate and interstate routes.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and safety checks per DOT regulations.
• Maintain logs of hours of service and comply with company and DOT requirements.
• Load, secure, and unload freight; assist with safe handling of goods.
• Communicate with dispatchers and customers professionally to ensure timely deliveries.
