Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Shuttle Driver for the night shift to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and return with full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards in a safe, timely manner. You will operate tandem tractor trailers and other equipment, following DOT rules and company Safety standards.

Requirements include a valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, 21+ years old, a clean 3-year MVR, and the ability to lift 60–90 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21+ and pass pre-employment checks.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Night shift schedule, Sunday–Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Reports safety issues and required repairs.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to route schedule.
• Hooks/unhooks trailers safely and parks in designated areas.
• Ensures paperwork is complete and available to dispatch.
• Keeps equipment and freight secured and clean.
