Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Shuttle Driver for the night shift, Sunday through Thursday, dispatching at 3:00 pm. You will transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards, adhering to DOT rules and company safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year or more commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post trip safety checks per DOT regulations.
• Report all safety issues and required repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; secure freight.
• Maintain route paperwork with tractor-trailer load for dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to the schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Ensure all equipment and freight are secured.
• Handle damaged goods and returns as needed.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs per regulations.
• Perform general housekeeping in the tractor and loading dock areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
