Job summary

Cheney Brothers, Inc. is seeking a Shuttle Driver for the night shift to haul empty trailers to warehouses and turn around to deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards.

The role requires operating tandem, tractor, or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes with DOT compliance. Responsibilities include safety checks, securing loads, maintaining route paperwork, and timely communication with customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Willing to work 3rd shift; Sunday-Thursday.
• Pre-employment drug test, road test, and DOT Health Card.
• Ability to lift up to 60–90 pounds and use lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Inspect tractor/trailer and secure loads properly.
• Communicate with customers, vendors and coworkers professionally.
• Drive/turn around and deliver full trailers on schedule.
• Maintain route paperwork and daily hours of service logs.
• Unhook, park, and secure equipment; keep areas clean.
• Handle damaged goods and returns; follow safety guidelines.
