Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in hospital settings after birth. The role is on-site at hospital locations with on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification.

You will screen babies, educate families, document results, and coordinate follow-up for refer babies. Requires high school diploma, CPR, weekend flexibility, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift).
• Push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently.
• Demonstrate sensitivity when speaking to family and when handling patients.
• Computer proficiency and accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing readiness and perform screens.
• Provide education to parents about the relevance of screens.
• Ensure accurate documentation of results and data entry.
• Notify supervisor of missed or refer babies and coordinate follow‑up.
• Maintain compliance with PPE, vaccinations, hospital policies.
