Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns and to educate families about the importance of early detection and intervention.

The role is on-site at hospital locations with on-the-job training and annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk most of the shift, and work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CPR certification required or obtainable after offer.
• Ability to screen newborns and educate parents on importance of screening.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital with attention to screen readiness.
• Educate parents on the relevance of screening and early intervention.
• Document demographics and screen results accurately per protocol.
• Upload results and ensure reporting is complete by end of shift.
• Notify supervisor of missed or refer babies and schedule follow-ups.
