Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in the hospital after birth, on-site at facility locations. You will receive on-the-job training, including annual American Academy of Audiology certification to support early detection of hearing impairments.

The role involves educating families, collecting data, and coordinating follow-up, with emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and compassionate care for newborns and their families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performs hearing screens and educates parents on screening relevance.
• Evaluate patient readiness and screen only when ready for reliable results.
• Collect demographic data, perform screens, and document results.
• Educate families and coordinate follow-up where needed.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and schedule outpatient appointments.
• Screen efficiently while maintaining quality and patient education.
