Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform automated hearing screens in hospital nurseries. You will work on-site at hospital locations, screen eligible newborns, and provide parent education on the importance of early detection and intervention.

On-the-job training is provided, including annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology. Candidates should be able to work weekends and holidays and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Educate parents on the importance of newborn hearing screening and follow-up steps.
• Ensure accurate data collection and documentation for each baby.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of each shift.
• Notify supervisor of missed and refer babies.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when appropriate.
