Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns, with on-the-job training and AAodiology-accredited certification. You will screen babies on-site at multiple hospital locations, ensuring accuracy, patient education, and timely documentation.

Responsibilities include educating parents, following safety protocols, and coordinating follow-up referrals when needed.

Qualifications

• Entry-level healthcare experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens and educate parents on early intervention.
• Ensure PPE, vaccinations and safety protocols are followed per hospital policies.
• Assess screen readiness before testing and document results accurately.
• Manage data collection and scheduling for referred babies as needed.
• Notify supervisor of missed and referred babies promptly.
• Conduct screens efficiently while maintaining quality and patient education.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when appropriate.
