Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.

You will work on-site at one or more hospital locations and receive on-the-job training with annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology. The role includes evaluating screen readiness, data collection, and educating parents on the importance of early intervention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.
• One to three months of previous experience with newborns and in a medical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and provide education to parents on the relevance of screening.
• Evaluate each patient for screen readiness before performing a screen.
• Collect all necessary data for each baby and document results.
• Upload screen results and billing information by end of each shift and reconcile statistics.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and final referred babies and schedule outpatient appointments when needed.
