Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns.

You will work on-site at one or more hospital locations, receive on-the-job training, and complete annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology. You will educate parents about the importance of screening, document results, and coordinate follow-up as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and collect data for each baby.
• Educate parents about screening relevance and follow-up steps.
• Document results and reconcile shift data; upload results.
• Notify supervisor of missed or refer babies; schedule outpatient follow-up.
