Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is hiring a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in the hospital after birth.

You will be on-site at one or more hospital locations to screen newborns for hearing loss and to educate parents about the importance of early detection and intervention. The role includes on-the-job training with annual American Academy of Audiology certification and requires adherence to PPE, safety and documentation protocols; you will work with families to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Evaluate patient readiness for screening.
• Collect data/demographics and document results.
• Educate parents on the relevance of hearing screens and early intervention.
• Upload screen results and billing/state reporting by end of shift.
• Notify supervisor of missed/final refer babies and schedule outpatient appointments when needed.
