Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns and educate families on the importance of early intervention. The role is on-site at one or more hospital locations, with on-the-job training and certification through the American Academy of Audiology.

Responsibilities include verifying screen readiness, data collection, timely documentation, and coordination of follow-up appointments, while adhering to PPE and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification required or obtained upon offer.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing loss in hospital settings.
• Evaluate readiness and perform screens.
• Collect data and ensure accurate documentation.
• Educate parents on screening importance.
• Notify supervisor of missed/refer babies and coordinate follow-up appointments.
• Adhere to PPE and safety protocols and complete end-of-shift reporting.
