Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based newborn hearing screens and educate families on the importance of early intervention. The role requires on-site work at hospital locations with on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology–accredited certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or obtain upon offer.
• Weekend and national holidays availability required.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing loss at hospital sites.
• Ensure PPE, vaccines, and safety protocols are followed.
• Assess screen readiness and document data for each baby.
• Educate parents on screening relevance and next steps.
• Upload results and billing by end of shift and reconcile stats.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and refer babies.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies.
