Job summary

6 Degrees Search in New Bern, NC seeks a New Home Design-Sales Representative to lead our growing homebuilding business. The ideal candidate will have proven construction sales experience and a strong business development background, with the ability to guide buyers through financing and construction steps to a successful closing.

We value a candidate with a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree and exposure to construction field operations, plus 2+ years in inside-outside sales.

Qualifications

• The role requires knowledge of sales typically gained through construction sales.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• Desirable exposure to the construction field-operations environment (Superintendent, Field Engineer, Construction Manager, etc).
• 2+ years of solid inside-outside sales experience, preferably in new construction home sales.
• Familiar with sales fundamentals: prospecting, selling, and closing techniques.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, PC, and team-player skills.
• Real estate license is not required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overcome objections to the sale using objection handling processes.
• Create urgency to buy and register 100% prospects with complete demographic info.
• Follow up with prospective buyers to maximize opportunities.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction by setting clear expectations at purchase.
• Guide buyers through mortgage, lot purchase, and financing processes toward closing.
• Coach and support other sales team members with knowledge and best practices.
• Use effective sales processes to build rapport and uncover buyer needs and timing.
• Differentiate our homes by communicating the value of our building process to meet buyer needs.
• Understand finance programs (conventional, FHA, VA) and tax benefits to qualify buyers.
