Job summary

Banner Health invites new graduate registered nurses to join the New Nurse Experience (NNE) residency program in a full-time role. Trainees will be mentored on a Banner unit, gain proficiency in the Cerner EMR, and rotate through clinical experiences with preceptors and educators.

The program supports career development across pathways, with a 12-month unit assignment to complete a comprehensive training experience and foster professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required; may be obtained before start date.
• BSN preferred; ADN considered at select locations.
• No more than 12 months of RN experience; experience in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and discharge planning.
• Formulate a care plan in collaboration with the patient/family and health team.
• Implement the plan of care and supervise activities of the care team.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Document care and communicate with physicians and staff.
• Mentor and precept unit staff and contribute to quality outcomes.
