Job summary

Banner Health's New Nurse Experience (NNE) Residency Program is a full-time RN position designed to transition new graduates to competent, professional nurses. New grads are mentored on units within Banner Health facilities and can pursue various career pathways with structured development opportunities.

Most new nurses work three 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday rotations, and may be placed in environments such as the Emergency Department, with extensive training in Cerner EMR and

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS certification through AHA/Red Cross/ASHI or ability to obtain before start date.
• No more than 12 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational and discharge planning.
• Formulate and revise the plan of care with input from patient, family and health team.
• Provide direct nursing care and coordinate activities of the health care team.
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
• Mentor and precept other staff to support quality patient outcomes.
