Job summary

Banner Health’s New Nurse Experience (NNE) is a full-time Registered Nurse residency program that helps new graduates transition to professional nursing. It provides a collaborative learning environment to refine skills, develop relationships, and become competent nurses.

Program activities include preceptor experiences, training in the Banner Simulation Center, competency/skills assessment, orientation toCerner EMR, and hands-on patient care labs with e-learning and professional development

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations.
• Current BLS card (through American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain certification before start date.
• No More than 12 months of RN experience.
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and discharge planning.
• Formulate a plan of care and initiate the care plan with input from patient/family and the health team.
• Implement the plan of care through direct nursing care and coordination with the team.
• Evaluate patient progress and revise the plan as needed; document and communicate with the care team.
