Job summary

Banner Health's New Nurse Experience is a full-time Registered Nurse position that helps new graduates transition into professional practice, with mentorship, simulation training, and competency assessments.

Candidates should have recent graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ADN considered at select locations), and current BLS. Expect a 12-month unit assignment with a 12-hour shift pattern and weekend/holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN is preferred - open to ADN at select locations.
• Current BLS card (through American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain before start date.
• No more than 12 months of RN experience.
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care per standards of professional nursing practice.
• Formulate and revise plans of care in collaboration with the health team and patient/family.
• Provide direct patient care, coordinate care, delegate tasks, and supervise staff as needed.
• Evaluate patient progress and effectiveness of teaching; update care plans accordingly.
• Document care clearly and timely in patient records.
