Job summary

Banner Health’s New Nurse Experience program is a full-time RN position designed to transition new graduates to competent professional nurses. Trainees are placed in Banner Health facilities, mentored by unit staff and educators, with a 12-month commitment on their assigned unit.

Most new grads work three 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays. The program offers multiple career pathways and a comprehensive orientation to Cerner EMR and bedside nursing care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• Banner Registry and Travel roles require a minimum of one year of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and document nursing care.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure safety standards.
