What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prospect and research potential school and district partners through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach
- Qualify leads by understanding prospects' needs and set up appointments for Account Managers
- Build relationships with educators and administrators to promote Scholastic Reading Events
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and track progress toward monthly and quarterly goals
- Collaborate with the sales team to improve lead generation and outreach strategies

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail or district/territory sales, event management, personal selling, and customer service
- Proficiency with MS Office and experience with Sales Automation or Customer Relationship Management software
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with peers, superiors, and customers

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
- Proven leadership ability and qualities demonstrated in previous roles
- Proficient in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and achieve results effectively
- Experience in a sales role within the education or publishing sector
