What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prospect and identify potential school and district partners through outreach efforts
- Qualify leads by understanding their needs and setting up appointments for Account Managers
- Build relationships with educators and administrators to promote Scholastic Reading Events
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and track progress towards sales goals
- Collaborate with the sales team to enhance lead generation strategies and refine sales techniques

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience in retail or district/territory sales
- Proficiency with MS Office and experience with Customer Relationship Management software
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
- Proven leadership ability and qualities demonstrated in past roles
- Experience in event management or personal selling within an educational context
