Job summary

Barrow Brain and Spine is seeking a dedicated professional for our clinical support team in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves EMR data entry, patient check-in, chart maintenance, and coordinating exam logistics to ensure smooth clinic operations.

You will interact with physicians and patients daily, document vitals, process orders, and support scheduling and follow-up care while upholding HIPAA guidelines and a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a medical setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Passionate about creating a superior patient experience and fostering a culture of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Registers new patients in the EMR prior to scheduling.
• Ensures all initial consultations and notes are available to the physician.
• Opens chart encounters in AthenaOne and maintains patient records.
• Greets patients and assists with rooming in the clinic.
• Takes vitals and records assessments.
• Enters orders, E-Prescribe info, and creates visit summaries.
• Schedules follow-up appointments as needed.
• Communicates with physician staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintains clinic supplies and performs inventories.
• Supports scheduling, authorizations, and billing for surgeries.
• Coordinates care with referrals and testing.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality.
• Provides coverage to other positions as requested.
• Supports Compliance program and annual training.
