Job summary

Barrow Brain and Spine in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Care Coordinator to support the physician team. You will register patients, manage EMR, verify documentation, greet and room patients, take vitals, enter orders, and coordinate referrals to keep care flowing smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a medical setting, strong communication, organization, and a patient-first attitude. HS diploma required; Bachelor's degree a plus; flexible PRN/1099 arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
• 1–2 years of experience in a medical setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Register new patients in the EMR prior to scheduling the appointment.
• Ensure all initial consultations, notes, lab slips, radiology and pathology reports are available to the physician prior to patient arrival.
• Greet and room patients; take vitals and record assessments.
• Enter orders and E-Prescribe information and create clinical visit summaries.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate referrals to other providers.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Keep office equipment running and manage supplies; perform preventive maintenance.
