Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees preferred.
• 4-5 years of medical/scientific publications experience.
• Pharma industry or medical communications experience.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of publication structure and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Publications Team(s) for assets and drive publication plan execution.
• Oversee tactical execution of publications within timelines and budgets.
• Review publications for quality and alignment with platforms and communications.
• Ensure strategic publication plans transfer to publication plans and tactics.
• Manage outsourcing budgets and internal resource needs.
• Provide managerial oversight to writers and ensure high-quality work.
• Direct external vendors to complete publication projects on time with quality.
• Manage performance assessments and staff development.
• Address publications issues and maintain accurate records.
