Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Publications Leader to guide a team of publication managers and ensure execution of comprehensive publication plans across assets. This role drives alignment with strategic plans and coordinates resources and timelines with global stakeholders.

The position emphasizes leadership, scientific communication expertise, and collaboration with medical affairs and external vendors to deliver high-quality publications in immunology, oncology, and neuroscience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree required. PhD, PharmD, Master’s Degree preferred. Relevant professional certification/credential (eg, CMPP, AMWA) a plus.
• 4-5 years of medical/scientific publications experience required. Pharmaceutical industry or related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of publication managers and provide coaching, priority setting and performance feedback.
• Oversee publication plans and ensure alignment with strategic plans across therapeutic areas.
• Manage outsourcing budget and internal resources for assigned assets.
• Ensure quality publications and adherence to publication policies and timelines.
