Job summary

Vanda Pharmaceuticals in the United States seeks a Neuroscience Account Manager to exceed sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services in the assigned territory.

You will collaborate with the District Sales Manager to drive product access and reimbursement, manage travel and budgets, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of neurology therapies and market dynamics.

Qualifications

• BS or BA with GPA >3.0.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
• Associate role considered if experience is not met.
• Orphan drug or antipsychotic experience preferred.
• Strong relationships with psychiatrists/CMHCs preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy within the territory.
• Collaborate with District Sales Manager on day-to-day strategy and promotion.
• Analyze local market and monitor performance to optimize product use.
• Maintain current product, disease, and reimbursement knowledge.
• Determine and monitor resource allocation within the territory.
• Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills.
• Identify and leverage advocacy channels.
• Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
• Manage travel and promotional budget.
• Fulfill reporting requirements including expenses and calls.
• Maintain compliance with laws and Vanda policies.
• Meet credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities.
