Job summary

Vanda Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) to join our Edison, NJ team. The role focuses on executing sales strategies, building relationships with psychiatrists and community mental health centers, and driving product access within local institutions.

The position requires a BS/BA with strong academic performance and 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with preference for anti-psychotic or orphan drug exposure and psychiatry experience.

Qualifications

• BS or BA with GPA >3.0.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
• Candidates not meeting requirements may be considered for the “Associate” role.
• Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
• Preferred psychiatric specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction.
• Analyze local market and monitor performance to maximize product use in territory.
• Maintain current product, disease, competitive, and market reimbursement knowledge.
• Manage travel and promotional budget within territory.
