Job summary

Vanda Pharmaceuticals in the United States seeks a Neuroscience Account Manager to drive sales and promote products within an assigned territory. You will work closely with the District Sales Manager to execute strategies, analyze local markets, and maximize product access while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of disease areas and reimbursement landscapes.

The role requires a BS/BA with GPA >3.0 and at least 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience; ADHD, OR orphan drug experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
• Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
• Preferred psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving history.
• Travel may be required including overnights.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to respond to day-to-day sales and strategy direction.
• Analyze local market and monitor performance to maximize product use in territory.
• Maintain current product, disease, and market reimbursement knowledge.
• Manage travel and promotional budget and monitor expenses.
• Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to target audiences.
• Identify and leverage advocacy channels and secure product access where needed.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Ad-hoc projects as needed.
